Opportunities for both full-time and casual positions for Master, Deck Crew, and Stewards.
We seek staff who thrive in the marine and small cruise vessel environment, people who excel in customer service, work well with other crew, and have a high degree of attention to detail.
You will require a current AMSA medical clearance, STCW95, and RSA. Deck Crew and Guides will require a current Coxswains qualification as a minimum.
Vessel Master / Skipper
Responsibilities
- Follow directions from management
- Ensure you at all times operate the vessel ensuring the safety and welfare of the vessel, passengers and crew at all times
- Be responsible for the safe and lawful navigation at all times
- Participate, manage and record all safety and training drills
- assist in maintaining a clean interior and exterior of the vessel at all times
- Be familiar with all vessel safety documentation
- Assist passengers in embarking/disembarking from any vessel
- Guide guests on tender fishing activities
- Guide guests on land-based tours respecting DPIRD park wildlife and fauna regulations
- Ensure the presence and serviceability of all safety equipment eg. life rafts, life jackets, etc.
- Complete vessel safety inspections on a regular basis
- Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times
Required Qualifications
- Master 5 or 4
- Radio Operators Certificate
- MED II or 1
- AMSA Medical
- Senior first aid
- STCW 95 CoST
- Radio Operators Certificate
- Australian Drivers Licence
- RST – Responsible Service of Alcohol
Desirable Qualifications
- Vessel Crowd management training

Crew & Fishing Guides
Responsibilities
- Follow directions and tasks as set out by the vessel Master
- Ensure you work ensuring the safety and welfare of all passengers and crew at all times
- Be responsible for the safe and lawful navigation whenever on watch
- Participate in all safety and training drills
- assist in maintaining a clean interior and exterior of the vessel at all times
- Be familiar with all vessel safety documentation
- Maintenance of fishing and guest recreational equipment
Assist in food and galley situations - Ensure the safe operation and cleanliness of the vessel tenders
- Assist passengers in embarking/disembarking from any vessel
- Guide guests on tender fishing activities
- Guide guests on land-based tours respecting DPIRD park wildlife and fauna regulations
- Ensure the presence and serviceability of all safety equipment eg. life rafts, life jackets, etc.
- Complete vessel safety inspections on a regular basis
